Castle House was established in 1989 by a local family and since 2008 Vista Care have continued to build on the homes excellent reputation. The home provides accomodation for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and other health related conditions including Epilepsy and Diabetes. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms, 3 singles and 1 double bedroom. There is also a 1-bedroomed self-contained flat within the home; where a married couple are supported to develop their independence. The main home also has a lounge, dining area, conservatory, seperate laundry facilities, modern fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a cloakroom. Castle House is a large detached property with a generous garden and patio area. It is located in the small village of Barton Seagrave which provides easily accessible services such as a church, post office, general store, pub and food takeaway. Just a short drive away are the nearby towns of Kettering and Burton Latimer; both providing extensive facilities including a cinema, leisure centre, theatre, library, banks/post office, gp surgery, dentist and hairdressers. Due to the location of the home some people are supported to access public transport. However the home does also have it's own vehicle.
All individuals are supported in the promotion of their independence; both within the home and in the community. Support is provided with light household tasks to include laundry, dusting/hoovering, preparing snacks and baking. Aswell as when shopping, attending medical appointments, college courses, holidays and trips out, going to the gym and visitng local pubs, the cinema and the theatre.
Care planning is person centered and is developed with each individual and their 'circle of support'. Regular reviews ensure and that the support continues to meet individualised needs and that goals and aspirations are being achieved.
The staff team at Castle House is an established team with many years of experience. All attend regular training which ensures that they continue to develop their knowledge and skills and also within their job roles.
